Dr. Filippo Maria Ubaldi

Director of the Scientific Executive Committee of GeneraLife and founder of Genera

Gynecologist with more than 30 years of experience in infertility and Assisted Reproduction Techniques, PhD in Andrology and Master of Science in Reproductive Medicine, he obtained the national scientific qualification for full professor in Obstetric and Gynecology.

Speaker in national and international congresses he gave more than 500 lectures on the topic of Reproductive Medicine and he authored or co-authored over 191 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals (Scopus H-Index 49). He is chairman of the Italian Society of Fertility and Sterility (SIFES) and he was member of the ESHRE Executive Committee from 2005 to 2009. In 2010 he was chairman of the 26th ESHRE annual meeting that was held in Rome.

Dr. Laura Rienzi

Director of the Scientific Executive Committee of GeneraLife and founder of Genera

Doctor with cum laude in the Biology degree at La Sapienza, University of Rome, a II Level Master and a course specialization in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Padua. 25 years of experience in the study and treatment of infertility, assisted reproductive techniques, pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and cryopreservation of human eggs, sperm and embryos.

Passionate about sharing her knowledge; she is an adjunct professor of Biotechnology in Assisted Reproduction at the Faculty of Biology at the University of Urbino and is always involved in academic activities. She is author and co-author of 170 articles (Scopus Index 48), reviews and book chapters, she has been invited to speak in more than 300 national and international scientific meetings and has won several awards regarding fertility investigation and innovation.

Dr. Danilo Cimadomo

Science and Research Manager of GeneraLife

He received a Bachelor and Master of Science cum laude at the University of Pavia in Medical Biotechnologies and in Molecular Biology and Genetics, respectively. He also obtained an advanced course in Novel technologies in molecular medicine at the University of Padua and a Ph.D. in Morphogenesis and Tissue Engineering at the University of Rome, Sapienza. After two internships at the University of Pavia and at the University of Cambridge, he started working at the Genera centers in Italy, where he contributed to the validation, implementation and monitoring of the preimplantation genetic testing program in collaboration with the Genetyx laboratory.

Passionate about sharing his expertise, he is reviewer or associate editor for several international journals in the field of reproductive medicine and author of more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He is member of the executive committee of the Italian society of embryology, research and reproduction (SIERR) and basic science officer of the special interest group in implantation and early pregnancy of the European society of human reproduction and embryology (ESHRE).

Dr. Alberto Vaiarelli

Medical Scientific Coordinator of Genera Rome

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery, specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology with expertise in infertility problems and obtained a PhD in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Messina. He also has a master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Urbino and in Andrology at the University of Padova.

Dr. Vaiarelli loves sharing his expertise, he obtained the National Scientific Habilitation as Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology, having lectured at several international scientific meetings. He is a reviewer of scientific journals, author and/or co-author of articles, book chapters and abstracts presented at international meetings and is secretary of the Italian Society of Fertility and Sterility (SIFES).

Dr. Francesca Bongioanni

Medical director of Livet GeneraLife centre in Turin

She obtained her Medical Doctor degree, a PhD in Clinical Sciences and an MBA in Sanitary management at the University of Turin.
She was quality system manager and responsible for National Authority inspection, and currently leads a team of 8 gynecologists in GeneraLife Livet. Passionate about sharing her knowledge and experiences she is also a lecturer at the University of Turin and at national scientific meetings.

Dr. Claudia Livi

Medical Director and co-founder of Demetra by GeneraLife centre in Florence

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Florence. She has always been interested in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility and collaborated with the Institute of Immunology, with the staff of Prof. Romagnani at the University of Florence. Her work regarded the studies on embryo implantation. Livi produced many works that have been published in international scientific journals.

Part of the Medically Assisted Procreation group of the Regional Health Council of the Tuscan Region, she has promoted conferences on the conservation of fertility, on the treatment of serum-discordant couples and on communication on infertility, for which she worked with the University of Milan. She has also promoted the Italian version of the booklet on “Donation of oocytes. A guide for women to support informed decisions”, drawn up by the EDQM and ESHRE.

Dr. Monica Aura Masip

Medical Director of GeneraLife Ginefiv in Barcelona

She graduated in Medicine and General Surgery, completed a Doctorate Program in Medicine and obtained a master's degree in Health Center Management at the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona. She also has a master’s in human Reproduction IVI at the University Juan Carlos I.
Specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics, she has more than 20 years of experience and aptitude for the technical tasks of reproduction treatments, having trained and achieving high levels of expertise in renowned hospitals in Barcelona. She is a member of the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, of the Spanish Fertility Society and of the Board of the Reproduction Department of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Barcelona.

Interested in sharing her expertise she has associated as professor in several institutions and has published in national journals, presented several communications in national and international congresses and participated as a principal investigator in clinical studies.

Dr. Peter Uher

Founder and head physician of GeneraLife FertiCare in Prague and the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Genetics in Karlovy Vary

He was part of the team led by Professor Pilka, who oversaw the first successful in vitro fertilization in Czechoslovakia and the entire Eastern Bloc.

He worked in several institutions and opened the Institute of Reproductive Medicine in Plzeň which in three years became one of the top three centers in the Czech Republic. He also opened the Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Genetics in Karlovy Vary, and started the IVF Cube clinic in Prague. After the years of expertise, he founded FertiCare. He has written books and articles in numerous publications sharing his medical experience and insight from working in gynecology and genetics in the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland and the USA.

Dr. Jan Holte

Medical Director of Carl Von Linné Clinic Uppsala

Certified physician in 1979 and board certified specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1984, Jan Holte worked clinically and as a researcher from 1986 to 1996 at Uppsala University Hospital, focusing on infertility and hormone imbalances. His PhD dissertation in 1994 focused on PCO (polycystic ovaries). He continued to be involved in this type of research as an advisor to several doctoral students.

Holtes’ research within PCO includes infertility not only because of menstrual disturbances but also due the link between PCO, obesity/overweight problems, eating disorders and diabetes.

Holte often lecture nationally and internationally on these problems. Recently, his research studied prognostic variables affecting IVF outcome. Together with a statistician, Lars Berglund, at Uppsala Clinical Research Center, Holte have been a thesis advisor to several mathematics students.
